On the occasion of the first day of Ligue 1 Uber Eats - inaugurated by a Monaco-Nantes on Friday at 9 p.m. - we followed during all

"Pleasure, pleasure, pleasure": it is with these first words that Thibault Le Rol, at the edge of the lawn of the Louis-II stadium, welcomes viewers on Prime video before the Monaco Nantes match on Friday evening.

And fun, the platform which has offered 80% of Ligue 1 matches for the 2021-2022 season intends to offer it to its subscribers.

Beyond the sporting oppositions, the system put in place by the new Ligue 1 broadcaster was expected and has been widely commented on by football fans.

A rich cast

The American giant has recruited experts and experienced columnists, already familiar with the games of Ligue 1. As of Friday Ludovic Giuly, Mathieu Bodmer, Julien Brun, David Astorga or even Virginie Sainsily enter the scene.

A team that is already very close to each other and pulls a smile on our face.

At Groupama Stadium in Lyon, we are discovering new faces on Saturday.

Saber Desfarges, seen on BFMTV, forms a duet with Corine Petit, the former Olympique Lyonnais player.

Smail Bouabdellah, former host of BeIN Sports and then of the ephemeral Téléfoot channel is in the comments with Mathieu Bodmer, again him.

Tiffany Henne, the former journalist for RMC sport, is responsible for interviewing players and coaches.

Sunday for the multiplex of the four meetings of 3 pm it is the former of Canal +, Karim Bennani who is on set for the presentation with… Mathieu Bodmer, decidedly the handyman of this device.

Satisfied viewers

On Twitter, football fans generally praise the quality of the device. @FcnAntonin writes “Good Amazon Prime Video is working very, very, well. Huge quality! Very good personal deal… Especially for this Ligue 1 season ”. The platform has been able to avoid the bugs and other technical problems encountered by RMC Sport in particular during the launch of the Champions League, or more recently Téléfoot, the channel launched by Mediapro, during the 2020-2021 championship season. Note some concerns of microphone sounds quickly resolved during broadcasts.

A new

Stadium FX feature

allows spectators to pause commentary, replaced by ambient noise, to experience the match as if you were at the stadium.

Between the atmosphere of the Vélodrome stands and the comments of Julien Brun and Smail Bouabdellah, it's difficult to choose.

The return of the @ Ligue1UberEats to Roazhon Park.

"Sunday evening football", the showcase

In addition to the broadcast of the matches, the Amazon Prime Ligue 1 offer also includes a 15-minute broadcast before and after the matches. But the big meeting of each day is “Dimanche Soir Football”, a weekly program at 7 pm presented by Marina Lorenzo. A range of columnists, made up of Pascal Dupraz, Felix Rouah and obviously Mathieu Bodmer, deciphers the posters and deals with football news behind a desk gleaned from a white “Prime Video” logo. This Sunday, the highlight of the show was the exclusive meeting with Dimitri Payet.

For her premiere, Marina Lorenzo is at the helm with a lot of ease and pep.

The ex-journalist of Canal + and Mediapro even offers us a translation of an interview with Jorge Sampaoli, the coach of OM, that the channel did not think of doubling.

Nevertheless his enthusiasm comes up against frozen columnists and a little too scholarly.

This remains a successful first but we want the show to gain energy in the coming weeks.

Maybe next Sunday with Christophe Galtier.

The coach of OGC Nice, crowned champion of France last season with Losc, will be the guest of Marina Lorenzo.

Among the big absent from this premiere: Thierry Henry.

The 98 world champion is announced in the casting of the device but we will not have seen him during this weekend.

He should be added to this already well-rounded team.

A subscription for less than 20 euros per month

All of this, of course, comes at a price.

To subscribe, you must first become an Amazon Prime member.

A cost which amounts to 5.99 euros per month (or 49 euros per year).

You must then pay 12.99 euros each month to have access to Ligue 1 matches. A formula that costs 18.98 euros per month, but which offers certain advantages such as delivery in one day on Amazon, access streaming in the music catalog or many films and series on Prime Video.

To attract the curious (and the reluctant) a 7-day free trial is offered until August 29 on the Ligue 1 Pass. Once subscribed, the service can be canceled at any time.
