Absent Sunday farewell to Messi
The club announced the injury of its new recruit on Sunday, without detailing its severity or the length of the player's absence.
Agüero was injured in training, and was not present at the farewell press conference of his great friend and compatriot Lionel Messi, with whom he won the Copa America in July.
He also did not take part in the Catalans' 3-0 victory over Juventus Turin on Sunday night as part of the Joan Gamper Trophy.
The Argentinian joins Ousmane Dembélé, Ansu Fati, Marc André ter Stegen and Clément Lenglet, who suffers from discomfort in a tendon in the right knee, at the Blaugrana infirmary.
