They are back !
After two grueling weeks of Olympic Games, and full of emotions, the thirty-three medalists have all arrived in France.
The rest of the French athletes present in Tokyo returned to Paris this afternoon.
Arrived at Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport, the tricolors carried the Olympic flag and that of Paris 2024 as soon as they left the plane, on the tarmac, before singing the Marseillaise.

Medals around their necks, the French were generously applauded.
They were accompanied by the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, the President of the French National Olympic Sport Committee, Brigitte Henriques, and the Minister Delegate for Sport Roxana Maracineanu.
The President of Paris 2024, Tony Estanguet was also present to symbolize the hosting of the next Olympic Games.
Direction the Trocadero
The return of the French delegation marks a new stage in the handover of power for the Olympic Games.
Tokyo had already winked at France at the closing ceremony.
With the five-ring flag on French soil associated with the Paris 2024 logo, the Olympic adventure begins now, three years from the start of the competition.

A big program now awaits the French delegation. The last medalists of the weekend, especially in team sports, will be present at the City Hall of the capital from 5 p.m. to hoist the Olympic flag there. Then, head to the Trocadéro for a traditional meeting with the public. The party has only just (re) begun.
