While Catalonia and Argentina claim Barcelona are making one last attempt to keep Leo Messi, criticism from home is growing.
Juma Lupis, a member of Barcelona's management who resigned in protest of Juan Laporta's conduct in the Messi affair, last night (Monday) attacked the president and sharply criticized him.
"While Barça players and fans cried over Leo's departure, he spent time enjoying seafood with Florentino Perez," said Lupis, referring to a meeting between club presidents regarding the Spanish league's rights sale agreement to the CVC Foundation.
"These are things that fatally damage Barcelona's image. I do not know how positive this agreement is for Barcelona, because there are a lot of question marks around it."

Lopez claims that aside from Laporta's failure to keep Messi, he also did not do enough to prevent him from leaving.
"He had 25 days to think of creative ideas on how to get out of this crisis. There were things to do. Unfortunately, he did not do enough to keep Leo. He never really negotiated a new contract for him. In my opinion, he thought too much about the savings. "He will have it in the short term, but did not understand the damage that Messi's departure will cause Barcelona in the long term."
