Back to normal - that's what SVA Palzing is hoping for.

As it became known at the annual general meeting, some future plans depend on Corona.

Palzing

- The atmosphere was great, the joy was great to finally be able to gather again in the sports center.

After a year and a half, at the annual general meeting of SVA Palzing, the hope was born that everything could soon be back to normal.

That would not only be nice, but absolutely necessary, as chairman Michael Mitterweger said.

"If nothing changes in this situation due to Corona in 2022 either, the financial situation for the SVA will definitely change," said Mitterweger, referring to the Ampermania tent party and declining membership numbers.

With 50 exits, this is still limited, but if the trend continues like this, it will be difficult to cope with planned renovation and refurbishment measures.

As examples, the chairman of the club, which has 730 members, cited a sports home extension on the east side and a new grandstand.

Mitterweger: "Our balcony is no longer like the regional league."

The SVA can now be seen on Sport Total TV

The chairman made a point of having achieved a lot in the pandemic, for example by installing a TV camera on the roof of the sports home.

This means that home games can now be followed “live” on the mobile phone, laptop and even on television.

The whole thing runs on Sport Total TV.

The chairman also praised a “Nikolaus MC Drive” and a Christmas tree donation campaign as outstanding activities.

There was praise from Mayor Helmut Priller, who said that compared to the main town of Zolling, Palzing played much better football.

There was applause for this as well as for the fact that, with the help of association member Fritz Karinscheck, it was possible to purchase a piece of land for a training ground that had long been considered impossible.

All junior kickers stayed on board

There was also positive news from a sporting point of view.

Klaus Huber, responsible for the juniors, was delighted that training has been in full swing again since May and that “not a single one of the youngsters has been lost”.

Josef Summerer, who trains the 1st team together with Dominik Heiss, explained that they had prepared intensively for the new season in the district league.

As a slogan for the new season, he gave that you have to become a power again at home.

Gianluca Dello Buono, jointly responsible for the 2nd team, said about the direction in the A-Class: "We are not hiding, everyone who wants to advance has to pass us."

There are now 120 handball players in the club

There were also detailed reports from the handball, gymnastics, Indiaca and Aikido departments.

Accordingly, the handball department has 120 active members.

Including two women's teams, with whom, according to coach Walter Schlott, you definitely want to advance.

Gymnastics department head Monika Berghammer explained that there was something to offer for all age groups.

As an example, she named "Pilates not just for women" and spinal exercises.

The Indiaka division is a bit of a concern.

Lately there were less active people.

According to head of department Christian Taschner, the Aikido section is very popular.

These recently included 20 adults and 30 young people.
