This Wednesday, the club made official the renewal of Stefan Savic, who signs until 2024, and 24 hours later has announced the extension of the contract of José María Giménez, who joins the team until 2025. His signature is added to that of the piece most important of the rojiblanco puzzle, Diego Pablo Simeone, who renewed his contract until 2024.

Giménez, a player that Simeone took out of nowhere when he was 18 years old in 2013, is the third captain and is already part of the Paseo de Leyendas del Wanda Metropolitano by reaching 100 official matches (there are already 261).
Savic, who arrived at the age of 25 from Fiorentina in 2015, has already played 202 matches as rojiblanco, also a member of the Paseo.
Celta de Vigo will be the first to test the strength of the current champion in his league debut next Sunday (17.30. Movistar LaLiga).
Savic injured his quadriceps last July and has not played any preseason games, so his presence is practically ruled out for the match in Balaídos.
