The Bayern league team from Lech has agreed on a cooperation with the top division team from Lech, in which the two teams want to work closely together over the long term.
"The discussions with those responsible at EV Füssen were very constructive, open and goal-oriented," reported EAS team manager Martin Resch after the agreement was concluded, which primarily aims to promote young players from the region even better and more intensively. This should be done by means of funding licenses. For the coming season, a total of five young players from the Oberliga and DNL2 squads of EV Füssen will be given such a license. “With EV Füssen we are gaining a great cooperation partner for the future who places an intense focus on promoting young talent. We look forward to the cooperation and the additional options with young, regional players ”, said Resch. The Schongauer team manager is extremely impressed by this cooperation,which puts the EAS squad on an even broader basis.

The “Lech partnership” has already produced initial results: For example, the German-Czech striker Ondrej Zelenka (21) will focus on playing for the “Mammoths” in the Bayern League in the coming season, where he should develop and gain experience return to EV Füssen in the following year.

Zelenka, who was born in Teplice and has a German passport, moved from the EC Bad Nauheim to Füssen in 2013. In the Allgäu, he played 65 games in the school league (32 goals / 19 assists) and 142 appearances in the DNL and DNL 2 (65 goals / 99 assists). As a result, the talented center recommended itself for assignments in the first team of the league club from the 2017/18 season. In addition to 16 games in the Bayern League (4 goals / 4 assists), the 1.80 meter tall striker has two complete seasons in the Oberliga in his vita. (82 games / 9 goals / 13 assists).
