El-Galaa and El-Jaish in the Basketball Republic Cup Final

Al-Jalaa team will meet with the Army in the final match of the Republic Cup Basketball Championship the day after tomorrow at Al-Fayhaa Sports Hall in Damascus.

Al-Jalaa qualified for the final by defeating Al-Thawra in the two legs of the semi-finals, respectively, with 86-64 points and 87-65 points.

As for Al-Jaish, they needed a play-off with Al-Nawa’ir to reach the final. In the first leg of the semi-finals, Al-Nawa’ir won with a score of 58-53 points, while the return match ended with Al-Jaish winning with a score of 67-64 points. With a difference of three points, Al-Jaish won the play-off match 70-67 points.

It is noteworthy that last season the championship was not held due to the precautionary measures of the Corona epidemic, knowing that the army was the title holder of the previous version 2019 after its victory over Al-Wathba with a score of 81-59 points in the final match.
