It is the first football league, whose competitions will start on the fourteenth of next month, in which twenty-three teams will compete to win the two qualification cards to the Premier League.
Four groups were distributed among the teams participating in the league. The first included the governorate teams, Al-Arabi, Al-Kiswa, Al-Kiswa, Al-Dameer and Al-Nabek, the second by Al-Majd, Al-Mayadin, Al-Shula, Moadamiya Al-Sham, Artouz, Jaramana, the third, Al-Sahel, Al-Mukharam, Hama Police, Baniyas Refinery, Al-Tadamon, and the fourth workers from Hama, Khattab, Freedom and Jihad, Al-Jazeera and Amuda.
With the start of the league competitions approaching, the teams continue their preparations to appear at a good level and compete vigorously for the two qualification cards, as the league system stipulates that two clubs qualify for the Premier League at the end of the final round competitions, while the owners of the last places from the four groups in the league are relegated, in addition to the losers of the two deciding rounds of the two matches The two-to-last holders of the northern and southern groups became six relegated teams to the second division.
Intense preparations recently started by Al-Majd team in preparation for the league to go far in the competition that it aspires to finish by qualifying for the Premier League, after it was very close to that last season, as it gave Al-Nawair the crossing card by losing to it on penalties 4-2 in the second leg of the first division final round.
During the preparations for the new season, Al-Majd, led by its coach, Firas Maasas, played a friendly match with the Governorate team recently, which ended with a victory with a goal without a response.
Jaramana Club also does not want to be a guest in the next league, but rather aspires to compete vigorously between the teams and reach the final, which it is working to achieve through the intensive preparations that it is making. One goal against three goals.
The rest of the teams in all governorates are continuing their preparations through training camps, daily exercises and test friendly matches to settle on the lineup of their basic players, and each of them aspires to reserve a qualifying card to play in the Premier League.
