The center forward of Real and the France team, effective, allowed his club to dominate Alavès (1-4) and temporarily take the lead

Karim Benzema is starting again on the same bases as last season.

Author of a double this Saturday evening, the Frenchman largely contributed to the victory of Real Madrid to Alavès, at the opening of La Liga.

A goal from Nacho and a header from Vinicius rounded off the success of the Madrilenians, ultimately victorious 4-1.

Before Atlético Madrid entered the fray at Celta Vigo and FC Barcelona at Camp Nou against Real Sociedad on Sunday, the club, now coached by Carlo Ancelotti, is leader of its championship.

The two goals scored by the international are not the hardest of his career.

But they are clearly the work of a center-forward in great shape.

The first, for the opening of the scoring, is a volley at close range (48th).

The second (62nd) is a half-volley with a rebound after an unintentional first shot.

A non-imperial defense

After the departures of Sergio Ramos, Raphaël Varane and obviously Zinedine Zidane, Real presented themselves in 4-3-3 this Saturday evening.

Bayern Munich rookie David Alaba took to the left flank of the defense, while stirring Eden Hazard and returning Gareth Bale occupied both wings around Benzema.

A winning composition, despite some hesitation.

The defense was not imperial, and it was a too soft pass behind Eder Militão for Thibaut Courtois who forced the Belgian goalkeeper to commit a fault synonymous with a penalty, transformed by Joselu (75th).
