German football legend Gerd Muller passed away today at the age of 75.
Bayern Munich said in a statement on its official website: “The club mourns the legend Gerd Muller, who passed away this morning at the age of 75.”
The former German national team player, Muller, made history with Bayern and the German national team, scoring 566 goals in 607 official matches with the club, and he still holds the record for the most goals scored in the German League with 365 goals, as well as being the top scorer in the championship 7 times. He also scored 68 goals in 62 matches with Germany national team.
