Returning to Israel: Former Beer Sheva midfielder John Ugo will arrive in Israel for a mutual impression at Maccabi Netanya and in case everything goes smoothly, he will sign with Raymond Atfeld's team.
The 33-year-old Nigerian midfielder, who has made a total of 26 appearances for his national team uniform, is expected to land on Wednesday.
Netanya currently has four foreigners on the roster: Zlatan Shakhovich, Boris Ano, Abubkar Domvia and Igor Zlatanovich.
Ugo is supposed to land in Israel, go through isolation and then hold a number of training sessions with Netanya to test his fitness.

Ugo, who arrived at Hapoel Beer Sheva in 2014 from Portuguese academia and won with the Reds three championships between 2018-2015 and once the Toto Cup.
Ugo even scored the winning goal in the championship game against Maccabi Tel Aviv on April 29, 2017, which guaranteed Beer Shevaim the second title out of the three.
Since leaving Hapoel Beer Sheva, Ugo has not really found himself and has made just seven appearances for Saudi Arabian al-Adlah.
