Maccabi Tel Aviv's participation in the preparatory tournaments in Greece and Cyprus in early September is in great doubt after the Ministry of Health did not approve the team to go to these games.
The Yellows are trying to get an exception in order to go out to tournaments so as not to get hurt in preparation for the season.

"As of this moment and following the guidelines of the Ministry of Health, Maccabi Tel Aviv does not have permission to go to the three preparatory tournaments in Greece and Cyprus, pre-arranged events and a commitment has been made to participate," the club said in a statement. "To them as such, similar to the official games that take place in the European leagues, and to find a solution that will allow them to participate in the games. We are waiting for the offices' response to our request and thank them on this occasion for listening."
Some of the foreign team players have already landed in Israel in recent days and entered isolation, as required by the new outline of entry into Israel.
Maccabi Tel Aviv will begin training with almost full staff during the next week, with all players expected to join by the end of August.
