FC Bayern Munich prevailed 3-1 (1-0) at Borussia Dortmund in the Supercup game. Shortly before the break, Robert Lewandowski headed the German champions against the DFB Cup winners in the lead (41st minute), Thomas Müller increased after the break (49th). Marco Reus brought BVB closer again (64th), Lewandowski's second goal took the Dortmunders hope of a comeback (74th). For Julian Nagelsmann it was the first title as Bayern coach - and the first victory ever: Before that, there had never been more than one draw in friendly matches.

BVB coach Marco Rose surprised him by providing Erling Haaland, who stood out against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, with a strike partner: The 16-year-old top talent Youssoufa Moukoko was given the chance to replace the injured Thorgan Hazard from the start. Julian Nagelsmann ordered Kingsley Coman into the starting line-up for Bayern, while Leroy Sané had played at the start of the season against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Otherwise, the line-ups of the two big clubs remained identical - which also meant that the comparatively inexperienced right-backs Felix Passlack and Josip Stanišić played again.

In an intense initial phase, it was Dortmund's Passlack in particular who had problems with the high pace of the game: After the youngster lost the ball, Müller first got a shot blocked by Manuel Akanji (14th), then Coman put a chance over the goal (15th). ).

Offside goal Moukoko - then Bayern meet

Bayern presented themselves defensively more stable than in the Bundesliga, but needed a brilliant act by Manuel Neuer in order not to fall behind: The national goalkeeper reacted by foot against Reus, who was free after Jude Bellingham's passport (20th).

Bayern had the next opportunity to take the lead, but after a free-kick variant, BVB blocked the results of Müller and Lewandowski in their own penalty area (35th).

The ball was in the net for the first time thanks to Moukoko: The young striker had put the ball past Neuer with his left hand, but was offside when Haaland passed it (38th).

Haaland himself failed shortly afterwards on the again strongly reacting Bayern goalkeeper (39th), before Serge Gnabry prevailed on the left flank and served with a cross from Lewandowski, who headed in powerfully (41st).

At the beginning of the second half, Bayern were again dangerous over the right Dortmund defense.

Lewandowski extended a cross from Coman with a hoe to Müller, who only had to push in (49th).

Then Haaland met Bellinghams after a steep pass - but again the offside flag went right up (53rd).

With a remarkable finish from the edge of the penalty area, Reus managed to shorten the gap (64th).

BVB failed to score another goal, but Bayern did: Substitute Corentin Tolisso blocked Akanji's opening and served Lewandowski, who scored his second goal in front of Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel (74th).
