The Syrian team table tennis team returns with 11 bright medals

Eleven different medals were brought home by the Syrian delegation of the table tennis team, after its return today from participating in the Arab Championship hosted by the Jordanian capital, Amman.

Four golds, silver and three bronzes came after strong competitions fought by the Syrian table tennis champions in the tournament, and they were admired by the game's experts and supervisors at the Arab level.

Upon receiving the delegation of our team, the head of the Table Tennis Association, Bassam Khalil, explained in a statement to the SANA representative that our team presented high levels that competed with ancient and strong teams in the game, such as Tunisia and Egypt, and surpassed them, especially in the categories of cub and junior women, and this is a great achievement for Syrian table tennis.

Khalil pointed out that the remarkable results achieved by our male and female players in this tournament indicate that the strategy that the federation had launched two years ago to prepare the young age groups succeeded, indicating at the same time that our table was strongly present in the tournament after the absence of Arab participation, which is the beginning of upcoming foreign participations. To be one of the contenders for its championship titles.

Our team’s delegation in the tournament won the gold for the women’s category for teams via Hind Zaza, Naya Suleiman and Anna Kurdish, the gold for the cub’s singles competition through Hind Zaza, the gold for the women’s doubles category for Hind Zaza and Naya Suleiman, the gold for the Buds category competition for the singles through Ibaa Hallaq and the silver for the cub category for the teams by Hind Zaza The fathers of a barber, Slav Mahmoud and Julie Diop.

Our team also won the women’s singles silver through Hind Zaza, the silver in the cub category for doubles by Hind Zaza and Ibaa Hallaq, the silver in the cubs category through Zaid Qatini, the bronze in the cubs category for the teams competition through Zaid Qatini, Ghaith Ghareeb and Ibrahim Sheikh Taha Ward Al-Damqasi, and the bronze in the junior category for the doubles competition through Abdullah Ajaj. And Zaid Qatini and the Bronze Cubs category for the doubles competition through Ghaith Ghareeb and Zaid Qatini.
