The second round of the Football Premier League, which started today, witnessed two victories scored by Hattin by defeating Al-Talia and Al-Shorta over Al-Fatwa and four draws in the matches that brought together Al-Karama with Al-Wathba, Al-Ittihad with Al-Jaish, Al-Nawair with Tishreen and Al-Wehda with Jableh.
The most prominent confrontations of this round were represented by the derby between Al-Wathba and Al-Karama, which was held on the grounds of Al-Basel Stadium in Homs, in the presence of a large crowd.
The first half was average and did not witness any real danger to the two teams' goals, as they relied on long balls and began to rush clearly in their attacks, which led to the lack of effectiveness and focus and thus the absence of scoring opportunities for the minutes to pass and the first half ended without goals.
The second half witnessed a relative improvement, with Al Wathba progressing more towards the Al Karama area, where he had many scoring opportunities that he was unable to translate, the most prominent of which was Samer Al Salem’s shot in the 70th minute after a solo in front of the Al Karama goal. Which ended as it began without goals.
At Al-Basel Stadium in Lattakia, Hittin defeated Al-Talia with two goals scored by Bilal Hassan in the 45th minute and Moayed Al-Khouli in the 67th minute from a penalty kick, compared to a goal by Al-Tali’a scored by Amin Haddad in the 62nd minute from a penalty kick. In Damascus, Majd Al-Ghayeb and Hatem Al-Nabulsi scored for the police in the 45th and 86th minutes, and the Fatwa goal came at the 34th minute through Walat Unami.
Al-Ittihad also tied Al-Jaish in their match at Al-Hamdaniya Stadium in Aleppo with two goals, where Al-Ittihad scored first through Ali Khalil in the second minute, and Al-Jaish scored a tie through Rami Amer in the 19th minute, and Al-Ittihad advanced through Abdul Hadi Shalha at the 21st minute. 36th minute penalty kick.
The Noria’s match with Tishreen at the Municipal Stadium in Hama ended in a 1-1 draw. The Norias scored through Mustafa Safrany in the 36th minute, and Tishreen equalized by Nasouh Nakadly in the 75th minute. Al-Wehda and Jableh came out with a goalless draw from their match at Tishreen Stadium in Damascus.
And this tour concludes tomorrow with a single meeting between Al-Hargla and Afrin at Al-Jalaa Stadium in Damascus.
The first round was held last Friday and witnessed Tishreen’s victory over Al-Ittihad, Al-Karama over Police, Al-Wehda over Al-Harjala with the same result 2-1, Afrin tied with Hattin 1-1, Al-Nawa’ir with Al-Talia 2-2, Al-Jaish with Al-Fatwa and Jableh with Al-Wathba with the same result without goals.
