Memphis saved FC Barcelona from their first defeat of the current season in Spain's Primera Divisíon.

The Dutch national soccer player scored the goal in the 75th minute on Saturday evening to make it 1-1 (0-0) for coach Ronald Koeman's team at Athletic Bilbao.

Inigo Martinez (50th) had put the hosts in the lead on the second matchday.

Barcelona defender Eric García saw the red card in stoppage time because of an emergency brake.

The Austrian Yusuf Demir came on in the 62nd minute for Martin Braithwaite.

At 18 years and 80 days, he is the youngest non-Spaniard since Lionel Messi, who made his league debut wearing FC Barcelona.

The Argentine superstar, who joined Paris Saint-Germain ahead of the season, was 17 when he first played for the Catalans in the league in 2004.

The German national goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen was not yet in the squad after his knee surgery in May, but returned to the Catalans' team training on Friday.

The two big Madrid clubs are still playing on Sunday.

Atletico Madrid host Elche (7pm) while Real Madrid travel to Levante UD (10pm).
