Responses to Danny Abdia's Injury (Washington Official Website)
The second season at the Washington Wizards is expected to be challenging for Danny Abdia.
On the one hand, the departure of Russell Westbrook should allow the Israeli to touch the ball more and stand less in the corner, but on the other hand, the forward position created quite a load with the arrival of Kyle Kozma as part of the trade for Westbrook and the selection of Corey Kispert in the last draft.
ESPN commentator Fran Prashila, who expressed his sympathy for Abdia even before he was selected by the Wizards last year, provided an optimistic forecast for the Israeli for the upcoming season as well.
"He's a great kid. Very critical of himself. I think he's just digesting everything right now because he's not experiencing his NBA debut season in the normal way because of the Corona," Prashila said.
"When there is isolation, you come to the hotel and can not go out, the meals flow into you. It was a unique year for him and of course he was injured in the storm, during the time he played for many minutes. Danny walks exactly the route I expected. I did not expect him to become a star. "A career like that of Danilo Glinari. Danilo scored 15.9 points per game on average in his career, I think Danny will develop into something like that."

Commentator continued: "It is very important that he has a real pre-season camp. He is so young, he has talent, only the shooting needs to improve. He needs to become a kind of killer in shooting. If he becomes one like that, he will be a very solid player in this league."
