Liverpool announced today the extension of the contract of Scottish left-back Andy Robertson for a long time, to become the fifth player to do so in recent weeks, after Brazilian duo Fabinho, goalkeeper Alisson, Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk and right back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Robertson was a mainstay in the ranks of Liverpool and contributed greatly to Liverpool winning the Champions League in 2019, followed by the English Premier League title in 2020 for the first time since 1990.
Robertson has played 117 games for Liverpool since joining from Hull City in 2017, for £8 million.
