The most prominent names in the Austrian squad are, of course, Real Madrid's new striker David Alaba, veteran striker Marko Arnautovic who signed this summer in Bologna and Leipzig's excellent player Marcel Savitzer.
The interesting name in the squad is Yusuf Damir, the only 18-year-old striker who signed this summer in Greater Barcelona.
The one left out of the squad is Sasha Klaidzic, Stuttgart's injured striker.
The Austrians will come to the game in Israel after a surprising and successful campaign in Euro, where they were eliminated in the quarterfinals with a 2: 1 loss in overtime to Italy, the team that went on to win the tournament.
The Austrians opened the World Cup qualifiers with 2: 2 against Scotland, 1: 3 at home on the weak Faroe Islands but in the previous round held in March the Austrians snatched a 4: 0 home defeat against Denmark.
