Difficult times are breaking for Timo Werner in London. With the 115 million transfer Romelu Lukaku, his chances of playing have worsened dramatically. The Belgian is set as the central striker in the 4-3-3 system by German coach Thomas Tuchel and took the lead in Chelsea's 2-0 win against Arsenal in the first game on Sunday. Werner only came on in the 90th minute for compatriot Kai Havertz. The competition in Chelsea's offensive is stifling. The 25-year-old does not have an easy time with the fans either.
"He will certainly have limited playing time at Chelsea," said Hamann on Sunday evening in his new TV show "Didi Hamann speaks - plain text".
He brings FC Bayern into play as a potential buyer.
"So I could well imagine that he will be an issue for you this summer," said the ex-Premier League professional about Werner.
Bayern are still looking for an offensive player, preferably a winger.
The flexible Werner is not limited to the center, the fast attacker is also an alternative on the outside.
Especially since the wingers in the new system under Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann * should increasingly move into the middle.
"I could imagine that he will be an issue this season because he can also play on the outside, although his best position is in the middle," said Hamann.

Werner's connection to Nagelsmann should not be underestimated in this scenario.
Both worked together successfully at RB Leipzig in the 2019/20 season.
Werner made all 34 Bundesliga games and scored 28 goals.
“Nagelsmann knows him, he brought the best out of him in Leipzig,” explains Hamann.
In addition, Werner recently had the same advisor as Nagelsmann.
Should Werner or Chelsea force a change, Nagelsmann and Bayern should be the first to know.
So there is a lot to suggest that Werner and Bayern will still find each other. The big hurdle, however, is the transfer fee. Over 50 million euros, which Chelsea paid for Werner last year, seem utopian for Bayern after the current situation. The Londoners would have to accommodate the Munich a little. Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic recently stated that he wanted to find creative solutions. Such a model would probably be a loan deal with a subsequent purchase option, as has already been practiced in the past.
Hamann also sees another advantage for Brazzo & Co. in transfer poker.
"The closer it gets to August 31, the cheaper it may be for Bayern," believes the Sky expert.
Bayern are apparently using a similar tactic with a former teammate Werner.
