Patrick Van Leven is considering opening tomorrow (Thursday, 20:30, Sport1) against Shakhtiur Kargandi with the two new players of Maccabi Tel Aviv, Stifa Fritza and Dan Bitton.
The coach is pleased with the combination of the two in training this week and feels they have arrived in good shape and is seriously considering raising them at 11 to breathe life into a team that looked off in large parts of the game eight days ago in Kazakhstan.
Van Leven said tonight at the press conference ahead of tomorrow's game that he wants 24 good players on the roster for next season, especially if Maccabi Tel Aviv qualifies for the Conference League and that he wanted every good Israeli player on the market.
Van Leven commented specifically on Kanikovsky and Mavis Chibuta, who have been on the agenda for a long time and are now expected to get on more serious lines.
In addition, Maccabi Tel Aviv is still in contact with another foreigner for the extremist position, so if he does not get along with Chibuta, the foreigner option will be even more relevant.
