One week after the surprising defeat at SC Freiburg, Borussia Dortmund found their way back to success in the Bundesliga against TSG Hoffenheim - but still had to tremble for victory in the dramatic final minutes.

In the 3-2 (0-0) success Giovanni Reyna had put Dortmund in the lead (49th), Christoph Baumgartner equalized for the guests (61st).

Jude Bellingham for BVB (69th) and Munas Dabbur for Hoffenheim (90th) repeated this game before Erling Haaland scored in stoppage time (90th + 1).

BVB coach Marco Rose was able to fall back on his regular full-backs for the first time this season: Raphaël Guerreiro on the left and Thomas Meunier on the right were on the starting line-up.

The newly formed Dortmund back four got problems in the second minute of the game when Hoffenheim's Andrej Kramarić completed his team's first good move with a header against the post (2nd).

The better team in the fast-paced opening phase was Borussia: Reyna missed a counter-chance with a too lax finish in the arms of Oliver Baumann (4th), Manuel Akanji had an opportunity with his head (8th).

TSG was particularly noticeable because of their way of playing on the verge of being overly tough: Baumgartner saw the yellow card after he hit Axel Witsel with his hand on the head (1st), Stefan Posch received the warning after a tackle against Mahmoud Dahoud (7th). ).

Open exchange of blows after the break

Dortmund then tried hard, but hardly got any goal-area scenes against Hoffenheim, who were well organized in the pressing.

A hard entry by Baumgartner against Marco Reus in the penalty area was rated by referee Felix Zwayer as a fair effort (27th), on the other side Baumgartner failed with the last promising Hoffenheim chance before the break to Gregor Kobel (39th).

After the break, Hoffenheim got stronger - but Dortmund took the lead: Reyna flicked the ball into the goal after a pass from Jude Bellingham from 16 meters flat on the right (49th).

More and more playful guests had the first big chance to equalize through Kramarić, the attacker failed in a one-on-one duel against Kobel (59th).

Two minutes later, Baumgartner made it better from a tight angle and scored the deserved 1: 1.

The Hoffenheim equalizer was a wake-up call for BVB: Donyell Malen failed to Baumann (67th), Akanji headed from a corner on the goal net (68th).

Then Bellingham fell an initially blocked cross in the penalty area at the feet, the youngster brought Dortmund back into the front with a dropkick (69th).

Kobel then had to steer a Kramarić free kick over the bar (75th), while the long unobtrusive storm superstar Haaland (82nd / 87th) missed two good chances.

Then Dabbur pushed the ball over the line after a Hoffenheim corner (90th).

BVB struck back again: The next time the ball came into the Hoffenheim penalty area, Baumann held the draw with outstanding reflexes against Marius Wolf and Youssoufa Moukoko before Haaland put the second ball in the goal (90 + 1).
