Bundesliga relegated FC Schalke 04 has ended the coaching discussion with the first home win of the season for the time being.
After the 3: 1 (1: 1) against Fortuna Düsseldorf, head coach Dimitrios Grammozis can go into the international break more relaxed.
The reason for this was the functioning storm duo Marius Bülter and Simon Terodde, which turned the game in favor of the ailing Schalke.
Bülter met in front of 25,000 spectators after Düsseldorf's leadership by Shinta Appelkamp (12th minute) to 1: 1 (15th).
Terodde, who had failed twice before Fortuna goalkeeper Florian Kastenmeier, increased directly after the break to 2: 1 (46th) and shortly before the end (90th) after a long Düsseldorf urge phase to the final score.
Substitute Kristoffer Peterson missed the big chance to equalize (77th).
With the win, Schalke made it into the top third of the table with seven points from five games and eighth place.
Fortuna, who also started with only one win from the first four games, had to make do with 13th place.
