In a single day, the fourth of these Paralympic Games in Japan, the French team won nine new medals, bringing its total to 19. The detailed results of the day: a title for Alexis Hanquinquant in paratriathlon, two charms in silver and six in bronze.

Already triple world and European champion, in 2017, 2018 and 2019, Hanquinquant stands out as the best in his category.

Spaniard Alejandro Sanchez Palomero took third place at 4′26 ′ ′.

A demonstration punctuated by a beautiful image, with the gold medal awarded directly by the Japanese Uda.

Still in paratriathlon, the Annouck Curzillat - Céline Bousrez duo snatched bronze in the PTVI sprint (a guide accompanies a blind or visually impaired athlete).

Table tennis players overturn the table

Five medals, plus two guaranteed for the next few days: the French para table tennis was dazzling this Saturday.

The medals rained from morning to night, until the splendid silver charm brought back by Léa Ferney.

The youngest member of the delegation (17 years old), the Frenchwoman lost in the final of class 11, open to athletes with intellectual disabilities.

A few hours earlier, his ping pong colleagues raided the bronze medals: Maxime Thomas (his fourth charm in four editions of the Games), Thu Kamkasomphou, Lucas Créange and Anne Barneoud shone the tricolor on the podium.

Matéo Bohéas and Fabien Lamirault will play their final in the coming hours.

Farewell money for historic bronzed Le Fur, Beaugillet and Pervis

A huge track record has said goodbye to the Paralympic Games.

After 3 coronations, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals, Marie-Amélie Le Fur became Olympic vice-champion in long jump, with a jump to 6.11 m in the T64 category (one leg with prosthesis).

Also president of the French Paralympic and Sports Committee, Le Fur leaves the track, not the sport.

François Pervis also wrote history, on the kilometer race in track cycling.

Associated with Raphaël Beaugillet, visually impaired, the seven-time world champion has become one of the few medalists at the Olympic Games (3rd in team sprint in Rio in 2016) and Paralympics.

A historic performance for this duo, formed in early 2020.
