Serie A: Lazio atomizes Spezia with a hat-trick from Ciro Immobile

The Italian striker hit hard on Matchday 2 to allow the Roman club to take control of the championship.

The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, top scorer in Italy last season, gave Ciro Immobile wings. The Italian striker struck three times to launch Lazio to great success over La Spezia (6-1), Saturday at the Stadio Olimpico. With two wins in two matches, Maurizio Sarri managed his landing on the bench for Lazio even if, like on the first day in Empoli (3-1), his team needed to concede a quick goal to enter his match. After the opener of La Spezia de Thiago Motta, by Daniel Verde in ambush (0-1, 4th), Ciro Immobile immediately put Lazio back in the saddle by equalizing closely (1-1, 5th) then by doubling the putting at the entrance to the area (2-1, 15th). Just before the break,he missed the hat-trick for the first time when his penalty was deflected by Ligurian goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet (45 + 1). But Thiago Motta barely had time to breathe that Immobile made up for it by scoring with a header on the corner (3-1, 45 + 2nd).

La Spezia still accused the blow back from the locker room and Felipe Anderson took the opportunity to score a fourth goal (4-1, 47th). Drifting and ten after the exclusion of Kelvin Amian for a fault in the position of last defender (54th), La Spezia has cracked again twice: on a full axis breakthrough of rookie Elseid Hysaj (5-1, 70th) then a delicious strike from Luis Alberto (6-1, 85th). In the other match of the afternoon, Atalanta confirmed its sluggish debut by conceding a draw at home against a solid team from Bologna (0-0). A goalless draw to which the Bergamasques tifosi are not really used, as Gian Piero Gasperini's team is usually a real “goal machine”. Victorious with a thousand difficulties in opening against Torino (2-1), theAtalanta was pushed again before pushing further, but to no avail in the last half hour. The entry into play for the final of Roberto Piccoli, 20, the joker who had saved the "Dea" against the Garnets, was not enough this time.
