The Syrian national team player for special sports, Fatima Al-Hassan, finished her participation in the physical strength competition at the Paralympic Games in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, today, by placing sixth.
Al-Hassan participated in the 61-kg weight category and finished sixth despite having a shoulder injury after lifting 97 kg.
The player of our team, Noura Bodour, participated yesterday in the physical strength competitions in the session as well, and finished in eighth place.
Bodour and Al-Hassan qualified for the Tokyo Paralympics after their participation was confirmed in view of their results in the qualifying international tournaments and their achievement of the qualification conditions, noting that Bodour won the bronze in the World Championships in Kazakhstan in 2019, and Al-Hassan previously won the silver medal in the Asian Paralympic Games in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta in the year 2018 As for Muhammad Khaled Al-Mohammed, he qualified after achieving a silver medal in the push-button competition at the World Championships that was held in Dubai.
