SV Werder Bremen have won a home game for the first time in six months. In the duel of relegated against ascendant, the Bremen team prevailed 3: 0 (1: 0) against Hansa Rostock, the goals were won by Marvin Ducksch (39th minute / 53rd minute), who was signed by Hannover 96 this week, and Nicolai Rapp with the late goal to the final score (90th + 4). Most recently, Werder won a game against Frankfurt at the Weserstadion at the end of February - back then as a Bundesliga club.

The Rostockers, whose active fan scene decided against buying a ticket, among other things out of protest against the collection of personal data, found themselves mainly in their own penalty area from the start.

Werder lived up to their role as favorites up to the sixteenth, quickly recovered lost balls in counter-pressing, but had difficulties with chances against the deep Rostock defensive line.

It was only when Julian Riedel fended off a sharp cross from Eren Dinkcis with his arm and referee Daniel Siebert decided on a penalty for Werder that Ducksch took advantage of the opportunity (39th).

Rostock remained isolated counterattacks, Streli Mamba put the best attempt just next to the far post (44th).

In the second half, the guests' defensive resistance collapsed: Ducksch missed a big chance (47th), Niklas Schmidt another good (49th), Ducksch again shot the ball to the lower edge of the crossbar - from there it jumped first on the goal line, then again on the crossbar and back into the field (52nd). With the next opportunity Ducksch made everything clear (53rd), Rostock couldn't find its way back into the game and conceded the third goal by Rapp shortly before the final whistle (90th + 4).

In Dresden, SC Paderborn continued their terrific away form seamlessly. After coach Lukas Kwasniok's team defeated Bremen 4-1 two weeks ago, the Paderborn team prevailed 3-0 (3-0) at Dynamo. Sven Michel took the lead with his fourth goal of the season when he powerfully headed a remarkable cross from Julian Justvan into the Dresden goal.

Kai Pröger used mistakes in the Dynamo defense to decide the game with a double strike (24/26) and to shoot Paderborn past Dresden into second place in the table. Shortly before the end of the game, Dynamo defender Robin Becker saw the red card for an emergency brake. An impressive series ended for Dresden: Previously, there had been nine wins and two draws in the league and cup under coach Alexander Schmidt, and now Dynamo was on the losing side for the first time since the coaching change in April.

At the top of the table in the 2nd Bundesliga, Jahn Regensburg is still enthroned after the 5th matchday.

At FC St. Pauli, however, the surprise team dropped points for the first time.

Guido Burgstaller scored twice for the Hamburg team to make it 2-0 (0-0) (74th / 89th), both times the template provider was Daniel-Kofi Kyereh.

This means that FC St. Pauli is also moving closer to the top group: With ten points, nine goals and four goals conceded, the Kiezkicker are exactly on par with Dresden in third place.
