Ligue 1: Clermont still undefeated, Lens clings to Lorient ... What to remember from Sunday's multiplex

The fourth day of Ligue 1 continued, with the Sunday afternoon multiplex. Led at home, the surprise team at the start of

The four afternoon matches in Ligue 1 were rich in twists and turns, and goals: Clermont and Metz neutralized each other (2-2), as did Lens and Lorient (2-2), Strasbourg recorded its first victory of the season (3-1) and Angers, provisionally leader of Ligue 1, crunched Rennes reduced to 10 (2-0).

Clermont-Metz (2-2): the Messins are joined, again ...

They had done the blow against Lille, they did it again against Clermont: the Messins are definitely struggling to keep a score. After leading 2-0, FC Metz cracked in front of this beautiful Clermont team. Ibrahima Niane, seriously injured last season, opened the scoring on penalty in the 10th minute (1-0), his first goal in almost a year. At the half hour mark, an ugly ball from Arthur Desmas, who badly negotiated an aerial ball and pushed it into his own net, signed the 2-0 (29th). In the process, Metz returned the lift to Clermont, with another csc signed Niakaté this time (2-1, 35th). At the hour mark, Rashani conveniently resumed a good half volley won in the air by Bayo (2-2, 58th). With two wins and two draws in four games, Clermont continues his clear round in Ligue 1.

Lens-Lorient (2-2): Lens is still waiting for its first victory at home

Lens is therefore still chasing after its first victory of the season at Bollaert.

The Lensoise afternoon had yet started with a cannon shot, a superb free kick signed Jonathan Clauss more than 30 meters from the goal (1-0, 24th).

Then Lens was liquefied in front of its public: by cashing the equalizer in the wake first, by Laurienté (1-1, 27th), then by letting Lorient pass in front, by Monconduit (1-2, 35th).

20 minutes from time, Fofana equalized with a superb volley in pivot, after lifting the ball in a superb sequence (2-2, 70th).

A small marvel of goal which unfortunately did not allow Lens to snatch the 3 points, but which at least saves the honor.

Strasbourg-Brest (3-1): first success of the season for Strasbourg

Despite encouraging things in the game, Strasbourg had not yet been rewarded with a victory in Ligue 1. It is now done for the men of Julien Stéphan, who have taken the best of Brest.

Like Lens, the Strasbourgers opened the scoring in the 25th minute (Prcic) before immediately conceding the equalizer (Cardona).

But just before half-time, Duverne deflected a too crossed strike from Gameiro in his own goals and gave the advantage back to the Alsatians (2-1, 42nd).

At the very end of the match, Strasbourg even made the break on a nice breakthrough from Ajorque, well concluded by Thomasson (3-1, 85th).

Angers-Rennes (2-0): reduced to 10, the Rennais powerless against Anger

The Rennais were waiting to see their new recruit Lovro Majer shine, they finally got a show signed Loïc Badé: first yellow card in the 31st, second in the 43rd, the former Lensois was back in the locker room even before the pause. Reduced to 10, the Bretons suffered, and ended up cracking: put under pressure by Cho and Boufal, Mendy and Aguerd tangled their brushes and offered a gag goal to the Angevins (1-0, 57th). At the very end of the match, it was the nugget Mohamed-Ali Cho, 17, who dealt the fatal blow in two times, after a disorienting sprint for Aguerd (2-0, 88th). Note the first minutes in Ligue 1 for Lovro Majer, who arrived in Rennes 48 hours ago from Zagreb. While waiting for the Paris match in the evening, Angers takes the head of Ligue 1.
