Linoy Ashram Interview (Walla!)

Shortly after winning a silver medal at the Paralympic Games this morning (Sunday), Moran Samuel spoke with Golan Yokfaz and Anat Davidov on 103fm and excitedly explained: "When we do sports - we eliminate the limit completely and just push our own limits."

Samuel, for whom this is her second appearance at the Olympics where she achieves a medal, improved her record and success, finishing with a personal time of 11: 18.39 minutes in a 2,000-meter rowing competition.

"Wow, what an exciting morning," she said, recounting that the wind made it difficult for her to meet the goals, but she still did.

"It was a very tough morning, there was a hard wind - but there was a very good end with a good result, with a silver medal."

At the Rio 2016 Games, Samuel won a bronze medal, or as she put it with a smile "I have one in a different color", and the taste of the sweet victory only improved. "I'm all glad I can improve it," she said, "I promised my kids mom would come home with a medal."

Samuel noted that the assignment was long and tough: "The Norwegian started very strong, she has an advantage over me in the back wind - but all the way I understand that the Frenchwoman is close to me. I was focused because I knew I might lose second place. I was in a different 'zone'. "I have to get into this 'zone'. I do not think about anything, my mind is clean, and the main thing is not to let the Frenchwoman get close to the finish line in front of me."

Eitan Kabel, who participated in the conversation, talked about dealing with the limitations and difficulties that the athletes overcome.

The new medalist clarified: "It is important for me to say - it is not 'despite the limitations and difficulties'. It is to take our limitation and simply erase it through sport. Every day we overcome the same difficulties - both Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Our physical difficulty is no different "When we do sports we completely eliminate the limitation and just break our own boundaries."

"The more they invest - the more achievements there will be"

Samuel's medal is the fourth in which Israel has won the Paralympic Games. "Is there an explanation for this fantastic delegation, thanks to which the whole country with sparkling eyes?" Asked Yokpez. Samuel replied: "I can say that after the achievements in the Rio 2016 Games I think the Paralympic Committee understood that there are things that need to be done better so that we get the most out of ourselves. Government ministries also understand that more money needs to be put into it. ".

Moran Samuel has two children. The first, born shortly before she won a bronze medal in Rio, is called Arad. "Abbreviations of 'Faith, Will and Way,'" she shared. Two are called rum. She was not ready to find out if she intends to participate in the next Olympics as well, but concluded with a smile: "I will give you other good news. I want to return to Israel, to hug my children and my partner Limor. We are expecting another baby. Then ask me about Paris"
