Bayern league soccer team VfB Hallbergmoos will meet the team of the hour on Wednesday.
But the most important thing is: Kaan Aygün is doing much better again.
Hallbergmoos
- After a weekend Corona forced break, the footballers of VfB Hallbergmoos are back on the field.
The Bayern league team was able to train again on Monday evening.
On Wednesday evening, however, the grapes hang high: VfB receives the team of the hour, TSV Landsberg, at 8 p.m.
After the positive corona test at Kaan Aygün, the Hallbergmooser were lucky that there were no quarantine orders.
All other players tested negative - and Aygün's passengers for training and games were all vaccinated.
Of course, it is even more important that the footballer is much better after 24 hours of illness.
So you can concentrate on the sport again.
Sports director Anselm Küchle had exhausting days and is very happy that his team has a high vaccination rate.
A wave of quarantine would have been a huge problem for the Bayern League penultimate.
Simon Werner could start after his injury
For Kaan Aygün, the winning goal scorer from Gundelfingen, Simon Werner could make the starting line-up for the first time after his injury. "We haven't scored many goals so far," said trainer Gedi Sugzda. “But we have enough different goalscorers.” So far, five different players have been responsible for the six VfB goals scored. "Whoever gets the ball in front simply has to score," emphasizes Sugzda.
Compared to the most recent game, David Küttner is back: The returnee is fit and could be in the starting eleven.
VfB has benefited from its broad-based squad in the last few days of the holiday season.
"I will have eleven men who will work well against the ball," explains Sugzda.
However, the coach also makes it clear that the reservists are in a difficult position given the high number of English weeks: "If we only play and hardly train, you can hardly show yourself with training," says the coach.
TSV Landsberg has a run
VfB will definitely need people who work well against the ball, because Landsberg is currently second in the table and will play with a big chest in the stadium at the airport.
In the league, TSV has won four times in a row and scored 14-2 goals.
The youngest three opponents were also the three most popular championship favorites SV Donaustauf (5: 2), Türkspor Augsburg (3: 0) and TSV Wasserburg (3: 0).
Sugzda reminds us that VfB lost a lot against top teams like Augsburg or Wasserburg.
That illustrates the balance of power.
The 1-0 win of Gundelfingen should be the blueprint for the game against the series winner: VfB will (have to) orientate itself more defensively, but must not forget the game forward.
In a purely defensive battle, the pressure over the 90 minutes would become too great.
Possible setup:
Dinkel - Zeisl, Beierkuhnlein, Opitz, Giglberger - Kostorz, Edlböck, Küttner (Beetz, Petschner) - Gasteiger, Werner - Diranko.
