Cristiano Ronaldo with another tremendous record for the collection.
CR7 became tonight (Wednesday) the greatest all-time conqueror in national football, having scored a wonderful double in Portugal's dramatic 1-2 win over Ireland, reaching 111 international goals.
The Portugal star needed 180 appearances to overtake Iranian Ali Dai and break another record, joining a long line of personal bests, including a record of goals (142) and cooks (42) in the Champions League and a record of goals in Euro tournaments (14).
Ireland have become the 45th team to absorb the formidable star, whose goals in the Salsa uniform are divided as follows: 33 goals in the World Cup qualifiers, 31 goals in the Euro qualifiers, 14 goals in the Euro, 7 in the World Cup, 5 in the League of Nations, two in the Confederations Cup and 19 in friendly matches.
Israel, by the way, only took his ball out of the net once, in Portugal's 0: 4 in a friendly match against the blue and whites in June in Lisbon.
