The positive series of the regional league footballers of SE Freising is over for now.
On Tuesday evening, the Plabst men lost just 1: 2 (1: 0) against leaders Eintracht Karlsfeld.
There are defeats in football that are expected and manageable.
Nevertheless, in the end there was probably a bit of disappointment when the footballers of SE Freising started their journey home from Karlsfeld.
The Lerchenfelder were close to getting something from the league favorites, but luck is missing for the black and yellow troop.
“I can live with the defeat,” summed up coach Alex Plabst afterwards.
But you could also tell from him that the narrow defeat hurt.
The Freising had a good start, at least equal and also had better opportunities.
However, Andreas Hohlenburger and Domagoij Tiric both just failed in the first quarter of an hour.
Then the guide fell for the guests anyway: Via Lassana Boubacar and Andreas Hohlenburger, the play equipment somehow ended up with assistant coach Florian Bittner.
He didn't hesitate and thrashed the leather from a good 18 meters into the corner (17th).
The fifth Bittner goal this season, so Plabst's extended arm is currently the most accurate Freinger on the field.

At the restart, at the latest, the Karlsfelder pressed for the equalizer and soon set the result to zero.
The SEF defense did not bring the leather out of the danger zone, Leon Ritter was able to push a sharp cross from the right over the line without being pushed - 1: 1 (56th).

A good ten minutes later, the game was finally turned upside down. After a fine through pass into the top, Michael Dietl hurried up and away, shook off a Freising defender and finished with no chance for goalkeeper Patrick Negele to make it 2-1 (67th). In the final quarter of an hour it was again the guests from Freising who tried to set the tone, but the crucial scenes were missing to steal at least one more point from the leaders, so that it remained in the 1: 2 defeat. "Karlsfeld then cleverly defended it," summarized Plabst. "Besides, you just have to acknowledge that it was a deserved defeat."
Newcomer Nikolai Davoydov has not yet been appointed, there is still some bureaucratic work to be done.
The 23-year-old should celebrate his comeback on Friday at the home game against SpVgg Landshut.
