Real Madrid had hoped to drop the big bomb from the transfer window with the signing of Killian Ambape, but did not get what they wanted after the striker stayed at Paris Saint-Germain late tonight (Tuesday to Wednesday), when the French runner-up reportedly rejected an offer of about 200 Million euros for him.
La Parisienne claimed this morning that the City of Lights team is still hoping that Ambape will extend his contract, which expires in 2022, even though the player has already rejected two offers for it.
According to the French newspaper, Paris Saint-Germain is ready to make Ambape the highest paid player in world football, one who will also place him ahead of his teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar.

Minutes before the window closes, Ambape has already come to terms with his stay in the French capital for the upcoming season and even sent a message about it when he shared a post where his friend tagged him and wrote: "My brother, respect your professionalism. Set your dreams again for later. Life is beautiful, you are the best".
The actor added to the caption the song "Dream On" by the band Aerosmith in the background, although shortly afterwards he deleted the post.
The Marca tried to comfort Real when they gave Ambape the headline "You will always have Madrid left", mentioning that "if the player continues to insist on not renewing his contract, the Blancos will be able to attach him for free on January 1."
Gerard Pique's bite for Real Madrid
Whoever took advantage of the fall of the deal to trump Real Madrid is Gerard Pique.
The Barcelona stopper uploaded a photo of an article published in "Marca" a few days ago in which the site dealt with the question of what number Ambape would wear.
Pique stung and answered the question when he tweeted "Number 7", meaning the one with whom the striker plays in Paris Saint-Germain - implying that he did not reach Real in the end.
