According to Athletic Reporter Sams Chernia, Brooklyn took a significant step toward strengthening the team today (Thursday) when she signed with forward / center Paul Millsap, who has played for Denver for the past four years and became a free agent this summer after ending his contract with the Nuggets.

Millsap's agent reportedly confirmed that a settlement had indeed been reached between the player and Nets.

Millsap reportedly considered bids from four other teams, including the Clippers, Warriors and Bulls - but in the end the four-time player decided to play for All-Star following Brooklyn's offer.

The Nets have so far this summer added Australian Patti Mills, Javato Carter and James Johnson, along with rookie guard Cam Thomas.

He completed five seasons at Salt Lake City, before moving to Atlanta, which in the media played four seasons, in the media gave his best offensive seasons, finishing the 2016/17 season with 18.1 points per game on average.

In 2015 he reached the Eastern Conference Finals with the Hawks while scoring 15.2 points per game in the playoffs, while in the 2019/20 season he reached the Western Conference Finals with the Nuggets.

In his rookie season with Utah he also took part in the Western Conference final to which his team qualified, but then was hardly significant.
