The period of preparation for the start of the season in the NBA is at its peak, and the American media are already trying to analyze from the evolving staff what the 2021/22 season will look like more or less.

The Washington Wizards expect a significant role for Danny Abdia, who finished his rookie season earlier than expected due to injury, but also predict that the Israeli forward will win at least minutes of play this year than in his rookie year.

Tommy Shepherd's general manager also provided a number of interesting quotes regarding her loss.

"With the addition of depth to the forward position during the break, it looks like Abdia may drop to the top five more often," NBC Washington wrote.

"However, it does not necessarily indicate a diminution in his status and importance to the team. In Washington, Abdia is seen as someone who can add value from the bench, and in fact the rise with senior players in the top five, he has not always been able to show."

Wizards general manager Tommy Shepherd also commented on Abdia's expected performance next season: "I think getting off the bench gives Danny a lot of confidence. When he comes up with the top five, he can actually act as another playmaker. "He could have done when he was part of the opening five last season. No role is left forever. Surely if Danny earns more minutes, then he will get them."

Shepherd also referred to the season opener: "We really want the season to start, after five years of starting the season in a kind of hole. Whether it's because of injuries or we could not win games or whatever. We want to start the season already, and do it in a way. "We want everyone to be confident in their roles, and that includes everyone on the roster."
