Argentina are furious after the wild tackle that nearly injured Leo Messi.
Adrian Martinez of the Venezuelan national team was signed for the brutal offense in the 30th minute tonight (Thursday-Friday) in a 1: 3 by Albiceleste, with a direct entry to the feet of the PSG star, with the shoe forward.
Messi writhed in pain in the seconds after the tackle, and surprisingly the referee initially settled for just a yellow card.
Only the intervention of the VAR judges helped him do justice and swing a red card towards Martinez, who suffered harsh accusations in the Argentine media this morning.
"This is an offense that should cause him to go to jail. A red card is really not enough," the TYC website wrote.
Messi did recover from the blow and completed 90 minutes, but after the difficult offense ended in a dismissal with difficulty, and combined with a few errors of judgment in Brazil's 0-1 win over Chile, Argentina did not remain indifferent.

"You really have to watch this move twice to determine it's a clear red card? Did he really see it and think it's not a red card? What a disaster," tweeted senior Argentine referee Javier Castrili, hinting that behind the controversial decisions is a conspiracy by Conambul.
"When it comes to Argentina, the referees are always impotent. When Brazil plays, suddenly they are much more decisive," he wrote in another tweet.
"Until when will Brazil receive special treatment from the referees?"
Brazil and Argentina will meet in a South American Clasico on Sunday, and eyes will once again be turned to a duel between the stars on both sides, Leo Messi and Neymar.
The two who returned to collaborate in PSG uniforms will try to beat each other, just before they return to France.
It was Messi's first official match for Argentina as a PSG player, and he was also treated accordingly when on the final whistle a boy with a shirt from the French luxury club burst onto the pitch and hugged him, with Messi responding with a smile.
In any case, in Argentina, Messi's move to PSG is only a temporary matter.
Juan Roman Riquelme, ex-Barcelona, told the Argentine media today: "In my opinion, Messi's plan is to win the Champions League with PSG and return to Barcelona. He will retire as a Barcelona player, I have no doubt about that."
Riquelme added: "I hope Leo enjoys Paris. It's still a bit strange to see him outside Barcelona, despite the excitement of watching him play with Neymar and Ambape."
