After 17 years of career, today (Friday) Mario Mendžukić announced his retirement from football at the age of 35. The Croatian striker played ten games last season in the Milan uniform hanging the shoes and explained that it was just time to hang up the shoes.

"When you put these shoes on for the first time, you do not imagine in your wildest dreams what kind of experience football will bring you," Mendzukic wrote in a retirement letter he posted on social media.
"I won the biggest classes and won the most important titles. I was proud to represent my team and helped write the history of Croatian sport."
