Peißenberg / Waldram - The destination of the Waldram trip to the Pfaffenwinkel was clearly named: three points, no matter how.
In this respect, Guido Herberth can be very satisfied with the game at TSV Peißenberg.
"The result is good", the DJK coach draws a positive conclusion of the Waldram 1-0 success.
However, he also admits: "It was not a high-class league game." And in the end, his team had the luck that was missing recently.
Peißenberg's captain Berner shoots penalties
A good half an hour was played when Lukas Thalbauer came a step too late in the penalty area when attempting to clarify, could no longer abort his straddle attempt and referee Ariane Fichtl left no choice: TSV captain Christoph Berner hit the post.
"Otherwise we barely allowed any chances," said Herberth, who saw his team increasingly determine the game.
Which didn't mean that one chance after the other had been created.
Gruber's free kick somehow slips into the housing
The game-decisive scene was recorded in the minutes in the 61st minute.
Xaver Gruber laid the ball for the free kick in half-left position and did what, according to the coach, had been intensively practiced in the final training.
"Pull the ball onto the far post, the players run in a line into the penalty area, someone pushes it in," says Herberth, describing the exact execution that promptly led to the desired result.
The referee noted Gruber as the goal scorer of Waldramer 1-0, the coach had seen the leg of a Peißenberg defender on the ball before it crossed the goal line.
With a strong fighting effort, the guests brought the narrow lead over time.
"The win is deserved, and we forced luck," summarized Coach Herberth.
