The fifth round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Europe continues tonight (Sunday) with some particularly intriguing games.

Spain will host Georgia and try to recover from the loss to Sweden, Italy will cross the border and host Switzerland, Belgium will face the Czech Republic, while England and Germany will hope to achieve home victories against Andorra and Armenia respectively.

In the fifth house, Wales achieved a dramatic victory at the end of a thriller when they scored 2: 3 away against Belarus, thanks to a hat-trick by star Gareth Bale, who also scored the winning goal in the 93rd minute.

Spain - Georgia (21:45)

After the 2: 1 loss to Sweden, which significantly removed them from an automatic ticket to the World Cup in Qatar, Spain is no longer allowed to lose points, certainly not at home. Luis Enrique's team will host their rival in Badahus, and according to their previous encounter with the Georgians in March, they will have to work hard to come out with the three points. In a game held in Tbilisi, the hosts took the lead on the verge of the break, Fran Torres equalized during the second half, and Danny Ulmo scored the winning goal in the 92nd minute. "La Rucha" is now two points away from the summit, but Sweden first has a game in hand. Georgia on the other hand have been disappointing so far and are in last place at home with a point after four games, when in the last round they lost 1-0 at home to Kosovo. Onai Simon may lose his place in the goal for David de Haa after the loss, while Carlos Soler, who scored in Sweden, is expected to keep his place in the link.

Luis Enrique said ahead of the game: "I watched the loss to Sweden and we analyzed in depth. I am more optimistic, there are positive things and things that need to be fixed. Finishing in first place at home is not something that depends on us, "We have to overcome the difficulties and it is normal that we do not come after the Fed to a smiling press conference, but the day after we are already thinking about preparing for the next game."

House C

Switzerland - Italy (21:45, Sport 3)

In its first game since winning Euro 2020, Italy finished in a disappointing 1-1 draw against Bulgaria in front of the home crowd.

She is now going out for an away game against the second strongest team at home, the one that can challenge for first place.

The regional leaders lead the table by four points from the Swiss, but they have two games missing.

Any result that is not an Italian victory will allow Switzerland to close the gap and even move up to first place.

The two teams met recently in the Euro home stage, so the Italians won 0: 3 in Rome.

While Roberto Mancini has a fairly full squad at his disposal, the Swiss will be missing some key players like Jardan Shakiri, Brill Ambolo and Granit Jaka.

House of God

Belgium - Czech Republic (21:45)

Like the Italians, the Belgians will face the most real threat to the House presidency in the next round, but they will do so in front of the home crowd in Brussels. In its previous game, the world number one absorbed already in the second minute against weak Estonia, but recovered on the way to a 2: 5 victory. Injured Kevin de Bruyne will continue to be absent, with Yuri Tillmans also in doubt. If Lester's connection is indeed absent, Roberto Martinez will continue to link up with Axel Witsel and Hans Van Naken, who scored against Estonia. Last March the two teams parted ways 1-1 in Prague, and if the Czechs want to somehow impress and finish the campaign in first place, they will need a big away win.

Belarus - Wales 3: 2

Is Gareth Bale coming to his senses?

The Welsh star scored the three points almost alone and in fact left his teammates close to the first two places in the House of God.

The left winger was accurate from the penalty spot after just five minutes to give the visitors the lead, but the Belarusians turned within two minutes of goals from Lizakovic (29) and Sadko (30) and went down to the break with an advantage.

Bale arranged a second turnaround in the game, with Wales once again receiving a penalty and once again a Real Madrid player sending him in to complete a double (69).

When the two teams seemed to come out with a point each from the meeting between them, Bale came again, this time three minutes into extra time, and used Daniel James' cooking to set up a 2-3 draw for the Welsh, who cling to the Czech Republic in second place, with a missing game.

England - Andorra 0: 1 (Half 1)

The Three Lions' game against Hungary was the focus of the storm, but not for the right reasons. Although Gareth Southgate came out of Budapest with an impressive 0: 4, but everyone will remember from the match how the local fans threw glasses at Raheem Sterling while celebrating the goal he scored. England have a perfect balance after four rounds, and it will be a huge sensation if they do not finish the fifth round with 100% success. In light of the opponent's weakness, Southgate is expected to give the place in the squad to several substitutes like Jude Blingham, Jesse Lingard and Patrick Bumford. For Leeds' pioneer, this will be their national uniform debut.

Coach Gareth Southgate decided to come up with a secondary line-up, with Jesse Lingard, Buccaneer Saka and Patrick Bumford opening at the front of the attack.

17th minute: Jude Bellingham passed a wide ball that went to Buccayo Saka, but the Arsenal striker missed from a winking position.

Minute 18: Goal!

England go up to 0: 1: Jesse Lingard scored from an extension the host's first with a corner kick.

Germany - Armenia (21:45, Sport1)

After Hanzi Flick's debut ended in a narrow 0: 2 win over Liechtenstein, the team will host for an important game the one who surprisingly heads home.

So far, the Armenians have achieved some impressive campaign results such as victories over Iceland and Romania, and in the last round finished 0-0 in northern Macedonia.

The team led by Henrikh Mkhitaryan needs a point to keep the head of the house, but this will no doubt be a big surprise.

The host will continue to miss Thomas Muller, who left the team camp even before the first game due to injury, while the occupants in the previous game, Timo Werner and Leroy Sana, are expected to start in Flick's 11th.

Flick spoke ahead of the game and shed light on the condition of the injured: "Manuel Neuer has returned to full training and is fit. Robin Gozens will be out and Kai Habertz has a fever, so we will have to wait for him tomorrow."

Regarding the new role he said: "I really enjoy it here. It's fun to work with my players, there is a lot of quality in this team."
