VfB Hallbergmoos had to be content with a 1-1 draw with VfR Garching in the Bayernliga basement duel.

But there is one point where the team has evolved.

Hallbergmoos

- Three games without a defeat are already a small series, but that was it with the good news: For the Bayern league bottom VfB Hallbergmoos the 1: 1 (0: 0) against the penultimate VfR Garching was too little, and before Above all, the hosts had to be very happy about winning points after an overall poor performance.

A little bit the draw in the basement duel shows the further development of the VfB team despite all disappointment: The Hallbergmooser would have lost a game like against Garching in the condition they had in the first season appearances - and they would probably have also lost each other captured a handful of goals.

In the first few weeks, the newcomer was not only inferior, but also distributed invitations to score goals with numerous mistakes.

This resulted in results that were sometimes difficult to digest.

VfB Hallbergmoos is in distress in the second half

This time the two basement children neutralized each other. The relatively uneventful first half then also fit into the picture that one has of a football game between the last and the penultimate. The penultimate Garching had slight advantages without being able to make a decisive contribution. After the break it became much tighter for Hallbergmoos - the guests had their best phase. Garching also took the lead directly - with a well-played goal that gave shooter Matthew Loo and his colleagues plenty of space (47th). With the 0: 1, the Hallbergers then lost access to the opponent and were constricted at the back. The VfR's second goal seemed to be only a matter of time.

But in the middle of this pressure phase came the miraculous turnaround when Simon Werner equalized: His shot from 20 meters into the far corner was deflected a little so that the ball flew over the goalkeeper (56th).

VfB has rarely been lucky so far this season, so this 1: 1 was also a piece of equalizing justice.

Monty Mendama missed the 2-1 for Garching

After the two goals, the action calmed down - and VfB was able to catch some air for the Garching final offensive. Attack attempts got stuck in the beginning, and so no more than one point was possible. The team still had to work hard for him, however, because Garching gained in the last 20 minutes of the game and still had good chances to score. In the 71st minute, the fast striker Monty Mendama got the ball in front of goalkeeper Martin Dinkel - and actually everyone was starting from the second Garching goal, but the ball rolled just past the goal. In the end, Garching's Loo saw red for a stupid frustration foul in front of the Hallberger Bank, but that had no effect on the outcome of the cellar duel.

"Garching was better," said Hallberg's coach Gedi Sugzda later.

“The positive thing for us is that we take a point from the game.” They made too many mistakes (“It really didn't work for us”) and still took something away from the weak performance.

Sugzda sees a further development here compared to the first games of the season - even if everyone had imagined the duel with the Garchingern different.
