In the shock of the first day of the Top 14 and remake of the last final of the championship, Stade Toulousain released its title of champion of France with a victory at the Marcel-Deflandre stadium against La Rochelle (16-20).
The Reds and Blacks made the difference thanks to a try from Ntamack (65th), after the expulsion of the second row from La Rochelle Skelton (57th) for a dangerous charge.
The Maritimes had managed to take the lead with a try from Favre (17th) but they concede a sixth defeat in a row against the Toulouse after the five of last season (one in friendly, two in the regular season, two in the final of the Champions Cup then the Top 14).
