All sorts of things were going on at the weekend in the parking lot behind the Erdinger ice rink, because the ice hockey team at TSV Erding had set up a beer garden with a bar.
The season started with the Autumn Cup.
On Friday and Saturday the visitors saw many goals (see below), on Sunday evening the decision to win the cup was made (report to follow).
Throughout the day, the moderators Sven Schubert and Wolfgang Krzizok presented the teams on the stage of the Fragner Showtruck, from the U9 to the U20. The full-time junior trainer Stefan Teufel explained the junior concept and he emphasized that gladiators trainers Thomas Vogl is also behind the concept. It is particularly gratifying that Florian Zimmermann is now another full-time junior trainer available. He said: “It's fun to work with the children.” Zimmermann's objective was “that we bring as many Erdinger as possible to the first team - like now”. You could already reap the first fruits, you saw that at the start of the tournament, said Teufel, and pointed out the goals of the so-called “perspective players”. Christoph Furtner (19) had,Maxi Knallinger (21) and Luke Kuka (17) met for the gladiators against Germering. Furtner added a hat trick against Moosburg on Saturday, and Knallinger also scored a goal.

The Gladiators captain raved about the general good mood in the team and said that he expected the Erdinger to be in the front part of the table.
"The goal is first place," said newcomer Lukas Miculka, who had switched to local rivals from Dorfen: "I received calls from a lot of people."
In addition to Miculka, the focus was on two other newcomers: Sebastian Busch and Michael Trox - Timo Borrmann is still on vacation. At Busch, it was ultimately professional reasons that tipped the scales that he returned to Erding from EV Landshut. Trox said he was happy to be back here, "because Erding is my home".
In general, the players were happy to hear that they were finally allowed to play ice hockey again - and that in front of spectators too.
Jokes were also made and laughed at, such as goalkeeper Tom Mende, who, when asked what tip he would give his young colleague Patrick Mayer (20), said with a grin: "Never listen to advice from Christoph Schedlbauer." Keeper Schedlbauer Youngster Mayer had given a tip for the Moosburg game, he did not want to say.
