District

- It's finally about points again: After a long corona-related football break, the women's teams from the Freising district will also start the new season at the weekend.

The Eichenfeld / Eittingermoos syndicate and the promoted FCA Unterbruck are represented in the district league - and they meet directly on the first day of the match.

The kick-off on the sports field in Eichenfeld is on Sunday at 5 p.m.

SG Eichenfeld / Eittingermoos

The women of SG Eichenfeld / Eittingermoos have been preparing for the upcoming district league season for eight weeks. In addition to the compulsory training units, a training camp also took place. In the course of this, the team went to a test match with the district league troop of TSV Vilslern, in which the SGEE soccer players had to admit defeat 2: 4. "In the second half, after the exhausting weekend, we simply ran out of strength, our legs became heavy," explains coach Michael Hillebrand, who vowed for the new points round with his team at soccer golf last Saturday. “The atmosphere in the team is just great - and the newcomers have already got used to it.“In addition to Luisa Irmer and Laura Popp, the former Amelie Feye from Ingolstadt is new to the team. However, the SGEE girls will have to do without four teammates, some of whom have been with them for many years.

In the first game of the season it goes directly against the promoted team from FCA Unterbruck.

It is clear to the coach: “If I play, I want to win too.” The goal is to remain undefeated for as long as possible - and to finish in the top half of the table in the district league.

FCA Unterruck

New to the district league is the promoted FCA Unterbruck. Strengthened by a total of five newcomers, three of them from the youth team, the team started preparing for the season at the end of July. Only Annika Aberl left the club in the direction of the regional league. At the beginning, in addition to training three times a week, there was also an internal team party for the girls. Not only did different games take place with the ball, but team building was not neglected either. And that has paid off: "The atmosphere in our team is just very good, and everyone is looking forward to the new league," says coach Norbert Mößmer. In order to be able to build on the time before the corona pandemic in terms of play, the Unterbruck team played in addition to the cup game at SpVgg Steinkirchen,in which you only had to admit defeat on penalties, two more preparation games.

The district derby at SG Eichenfeld / Eittingermoos is now on the program on Sunday.

“That is of course a real house number right from the start.

But we will try to take something countable with us, ”emphasizes coach Mößmer, who has given relegation as the top goal of the season.
