Radwan Al-Abrash has a high standing among the Syrian football fans in general and the people of Aleppo in particular, through his sports career, which was characterized by scoring and creating many goals at the local and international levels.

In a statement to SANA’s sports reporter, Al-Abrash said: My sports career began in 1986 in the Aleppo schools team, and I represented the Ain Jalut School team. Then I moved to Al-Ittihad Club for the junior category under the supervision of coach Sheikho Al-Abdullah, and I graduated in all categories. In 1987 I played with the juniors under the supervision of the late coach Abdul Hamid Akam and achieved The league championship and top scorer with 22 goals. At the same time, I played with the men’s team in the Republic Cup, after which it was promoted to the youth team under the supervision of coach Muhammad Jaklan and the Russian Vladimir, and achieved the league’s top scorer with 14 goals, then officially moved to the first team in 1992 under the supervision of coach Ahmed Hawash for several seasons.

Al-Abrash pointed out that his first championship with the first team was the Republic Cup in 1993 after winning against Jableh on penalties, and in 1994 the league championship with coach Fateh Zaki and scored 11 goals, indicating that the most important foreign tournaments in which he participated was the Arab Club Championship in Tunisia in 1995 .

Al-Abrash added: I worked with the Army Club in 1995 for two seasons, scoring 6 goals and sustaining a broken hand. In the second season, I scored 12 goals and won the league’s second top scorer title, and we won the Republic Cup.

Al-Abrash continued.. In 1998, I returned to the Al-Ittihad team and I suffered from an injury after an operation in my cartilage. After my recovery, I returned to play. I was one of the most prominent competitors for the league’s top scorer title in 1998, and I won the league’s top scorer title in 2001 with 17 goals, and we won second place with the Al-Ittihad team. With a professional contract with the Jordanian Al-Baqaa Club, I spent 3 months and then returned to Al-Ittihad Club at the invitation of the team in charge at the time. In 2002 we played a distinguished season under the supervision of the Egyptian coach Hassan Al-Shazly and scored 11 goals at the time. In 2004 I received several offers to play in the Malaysian League and several other Arab leagues, but because The team needed me, but I rejected all these offers, and in 2005 I decided to move to play with Umayyah Al-Rashid in the first division, and I scored 6 goals at that time.

Then I returned to the Al Ittihad team and participated in the AFC Champions League, and we won the Republic Cup in 2006, after we beat Tishreen team 3-0, and it was the end of my career as a football player with Qardaha Club in 2007.

After a long career in the stadiums, I moved to training after undergoing the Asian training course (C) in 2008, so I trained the Al-Ittihad junior team for two consecutive seasons 2010-2011, and we won the first third place and the second season in the league championship, and then I obtained the Asian training certificate category (B) in 2011, so I trained the police team and we reached the Quarter-finals of the AFC Cup and runners-up for the Syrian League. In 2016, I moved to work with the Jordanian Arab team in Irbid for two consecutive years, and in 2019 I worked as an assistant coach for the Syrian men’s team in the Asian double qualifiers, and we achieved 15 points from five consecutive victories.

It is noteworthy that Al-Abrash is the head of the temporary technical committee for football in Aleppo, and he is one of the most prominent former players who are distinguished by a sense of scoring and ending the attack with a ball that hits the net.
