The Munich prosecutor's office, which had requested a suspended prison sentence against German footballer Jérôme Boateng, who was finally fined for domestic violence, said on Friday that it was considering appealing.

," senior prosecutor Anne Leiding told AFP, the day after Boateng, 33, was sentenced for assaulting her ex-partner, mother of his two children.

The former Bayern Munich player formally denies the facts.
