Laurienté-Moffi, fiery duo
While Christophe Pélissier had chosen a five-man defense, the Laurienté-Moffi duo was in charge of leading the attack on the Hake. Mission which the two men accomplished brilliantly. Showing obvious complicity and complementarity, they managed to sow panic in a Lille defense that has always been at bay since the start of the season. And they are the ones who made the Losc bend twice (7th, 87th).
The Lorient pistons
While we thought we saw a well-grouped five-way defense to counter the Lille attack, the side Igor Silva and Valentin Le Goff did not stop walking the corridors facing a Reinildo constantly caught in default and a Djalo uncomfortable in this position ... which is not his. Special mention to the duo Mendes-Silva who did not stop changing to perfection to water the attackers with balls in the area with a superb quality of center.
Very solid Ivo Grbic
One of the satisfactions of this start to the season on the Lille side is the arrival of Ivo Grbic who, little by little, manages to fill the void left by the departure of Mike Maignan for Milan.
For a long time excellent in his role as the last bulwark, he prevented the Lorient from returning to the locker room with a little bigger advantage in the first half (12th, 26th).
Unfortunately, he had to bow at the very end of the game on this somewhat confused goal from Terren Moffi (87th).
Flops
Yilmaz alone in the world
From the champion team of France, last season, he is the only one to hold his place as the rest of the team is unrecognizable. Despite half a chance each, Yazici and Ikoné were too little dangerous to free the Turkish striker while Angel Gomes was more noted for his gross faults than his passing of the legs. Proof of the ineffectiveness of the northern offensives, Jocelyn Gourvennec had to bring in Jonathan David, who had returned to France for less than 10 hours and clearly not ready to play.
Xeka no longer responds
Symbol of a rough Lille midfielder and difficult to play last season, one of the guarantors of the spirit of the Lille game under Christophe Galtier seemed lost on the ground.
