Who would have believed that in the battle for the Grand Slam in New York, Leila Fernandez and Emma Reducano, two 18-year-old tennis players who did the unbelievable tonight (Thursday-Friday), will fight.
Fernandez, ranked 73rd in the world, overtook Belarusian Arena Sabalenka - ranked second in the competition - while Emma Redcano became the first ever to qualify for the Grand Slam final after making it all the way from the qualifiers, defeating Maria Scari of Greece tonight.

The Englishman of Romanian descent, who is ranked 150 in the world, makes only a second appearance in the Grand Slam tournament, after at Wimbledon she managed to reach the quarterfinals.
Redcano also enjoyed a pretty comfortable draw on the way to this class, even though in the quarterfinals they ousted Olympic champion Belinda Bencic.
Reducano will come into this game in incredible shape with eight straight wins in which it has not dropped a single set.
Scari, ranked 18th in the world, is Greece's big hope after Tsitsipas' surprise dismissal of men.
Scari, who reached the Grand Slam semi-finals for the first time in his career, ousted on the way to this class very strong tennis players like the Czech Pliskova and Kabitova as well as the Canadian Andresco who was ranked 6th in the tournament.
This will be the first meeting between the two.
