Lorena Gonzalez, a Spanish sports journalist, was a regular guest on a sports program broadcast on the popular TV channel RTVE, and was part of the panel that broadcast live the presentation of the young talent who came from the French league.
During the broadcast, while Gonzalez was sure her microphone was closed, she hissed, "Wow, this guy is blacker than his suit," referring to the young man, who was wearing a black suit.
Unfortunately, her microphone was not closed.
Her words spread like wildfire, and yesterday (Friday) it was decided to summon her for questioning by the police.
"I apologize to everyone who was injured," Gonzalez said in an apology hours after the incident.
"I'm sorry, but I have to say they did not understand me properly; it is a statement that could have been directed at any player and not just a brown-skinned player. However, I understand how it sounds and I apologize."
Unfortunate statement.

She revealed that since her remarks, she has not stopped receiving threats on her life on social media: "I receive countless abusive messages, including real threats on my life and my family's life. I am afraid so I have not left the house for two days."
"The RTVE television channel apologizes for Lorena's remarks," the official statement from the Spanish channel said.
"We apologize to the actor and to anyone who was harmed. The journalist's remarks are not in line with the channel and we will take all measures to prevent such things from happening again."
