Fifth game, fifth victory for the Erding Gladiators in the preparation phase.

Erding - There is still a bit of sand in the gears at the Erding Gladiators.

Nevertheless, the ice hockey Bayern league team won the test match against league rivals EC Pfaffenhofen 4: 2 (2: 1, 2: 0, 0: 1).

In the fifth preparation game, the Erdinger puck hunters had their place on the game report for the first time. So far, the maximum possible 22 players have almost always been on the entry list, this time - despite the perspective players - only 17. Timo Borrmann and Basti Cramer were injured, Marko Babic, Alex Gantschnig and Sebastian Schwarz were privately prevented. So coach Thomas Vogl had to rearrange his ranks, so it was logically lacking in fine-tuning.

Nevertheless, the start was quite promising, because after just three minutes Daniel Krzizok put the gladiators in the lead after a pass from Florian Zimmermann. Apparently, Dominik Wagner discovered the desire to score goals. The defender, who has scored once a season on average over the past few years, has now been successful twice within a week. The 22-year-old made it 2-0 against Pfaffenhofen after the 2-1 winner against Dorfen (14th). But the Eishogs had the last word in the first third: It was the former Erdinger junior player Robert Gebhardt who overcame Erding goalkeeper Christoph Schedlbauer 29 seconds before the break to make it 1: 2.

Even if the Gladiators didn’t have everything going well, they had the Pfaffenhofen guests under control and extended the lead in the second section. First, captain Philipp Michl, after a pass from Wagner and Michael Trox, made it 3-1 (25th). In the 36th minute, Krzizok added the 4: 1 after preliminary work by Zimmermann and Mark Waldhausen.

In the final third, not much happened in the extraordinarily fair game. The main referee only imposed a two-minute penalty against Erding and two against Pfaffenhofen in 60 minutes. The Eishogs didn’t open up to the end, tried to improve their results and, especially with their first line of storms, Connor Sanvido, Daniel Hanlon and Nick Endress radiated danger right up to the end. A combination of this trio finally brought the 2: 4 through Hanlon in the 52nd minute, which also meant the final score.
